| Day-to-Day Doings I read that somewhere. I wrote it down, and then I read it. |

Friday, November 23 Interesting article! Seems a recent study indicated that more people are becoming accepting of their large bodies? Read the entire story here. And beyond that, I had a very nice Thanksgiving with my parents. Low key, ate what I could based on my capacity and restrictions from the crankreas! But had leftovers and all... so it's been yummy! :D We watched a couple of movies, I was in bed and was able to sleep late today... ahhhhh, forgot how GREAT that feels when you have a real-life full time job. Mmmm. Pull the covers right up to your ears, roll over and sleep more... it's great. Today I cleaned up, did some laundry, and tomorrow Keith will be here for the weekend. Yay! My b-day came and went on Weds...was fine, noting exciting. I think I'll have a cake with some friends this weekend. Well, that's all for now... hope you're well and you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those of us who are stateside :) ). posted by AM | 11/23/2007 11:13:00 PM Saturday, November 17 Hellloooo there!! I'm typing at you from a brand new toy, and it's sooooo purty!! It looks just like this, different background pattern. ;) ![]() So yeah, it got here yesterday. I don't have my work software on it yet, but it's ordered and hopefully I'll have it within a week or so. Right now it's just a very pretty, insanely expensive email/internet box. :D I'm feeling pretty good... over the past weeks I've been able to add new things into my diet, still nothing really over the top, but some pasta, little bit of cream sauce (made with less fat stuff) and things like that. I still haven't tried things more dangerous... like pizza. I'm scared, and it may be a while before I'm ready to tempt fate, but I know eventually I'll at least try it. I think the key for me is moderation... I can have something that's "bad" for my system, like pizza, but maybe no more than one or two pieces, then I have to eat something else for the rest of my meal. It sort of sucks, but I'd rather do it then end up in the hospital again, or with a permanently damaged pancreas - which can lead to diabetes or cancer, etc. Kitties are good, family is fine, I'm getting older very soon, and I really have nothing to complain about. My job is going well, I'm definitely doing a lot and helping my boss... so that makes me feel good. I am settling in to the workaday world, it's not THAT bad. I still enjoy the weekends, and they seem to come fairly quickly. When you just go week by week, ... well, so far, it's not so bad. I have some ideas brewing for a site redesign... we'll see if I can get it done. One problem is that I'm going to have to rebuild in a different program and I don't have one for this computer yet... there's one built in, called iWeb, I believe, but I haven't futzed around yet to see how dynamic/useful it is. But just wanted you to know, it's still in my head... I think it will be a more streamlines "greatest hits" type of site when it's redone, but still with a lot of the content, just more structure and less choices on the front page. It's not really relevant or necessary any more, so I'd like to get it cleaned up a bit. Enjoy Turkey Day everyone (in the states) and I'll try to check in again much sooner... :D posted by AM | 11/17/2007 08:51:00 PM |
