Tuesday, November 21 Another year older and less in debt. Well, it's that time of year again. Birthday time. I'm feeling odd about it this year, excited in that "yay, it's my birthday, let's have fun!!" way, but also sort of off because it's not exactly what I'd pictured when I thought about my birthday coming up just a couple of months ago. Probably also because it's just been a very weird year for me... lots of lows and highs, but I'm feeling pretty even now, and I'm glad. I'm fine that things are different than I pictured, and I have some good things going on in my life right now... things that are distracting and invigorating, but there's still just this tiny little part that is thinking of what I had pictured, so it makes it a little weird. I guess I thought I'd have a nice guy, some sort of romance... I've never had a boyfriend on my birthday, so I think it's more to do with that than anything else. I figured it would be nice to have someone think to make today all about me (which I do, my Mom, but you know what I mean.) But I have the best family, and some of the nicest friends. I'm thankful for all of them, and I should tell them more often. So I don't want this misread as woe is me, it's not... and I'm doing great, just reflecting on how things change... but there's always still good things to be found. :) And thanks to all of you who read here, even when I'm super late in writing anything.... I love your comments, and I always check for them, so I just wanted to make sure you know that. :) posted by AM | 11/21/2006 06:43:00 PM Monday, November 13 Just a check in. Had to switch over to another version of Blog*ger today, so hopefully this will actually work... you know how upgrades can be. Nothing much to report, have been working a bit this past week, keeping busy and doing well. We had a party this weekend, and Jen (BBWTexan) came up to join me... she's a hoot and half, and I think we drank everything at the bar (Heather was in on that part as well.) I was SO sick on Sunday. Ugh, I'm too old for that kind of drinking, I don't recall the last time I was so physically miserable. So, I'm all fixed up today, had a nice lunch.... was happy to put something in my poor belly after yesterday's hell. Well... hmm, not much else to report right now. I'm most likely heading to NJ this weekend for the NJ MiniBash. So, if you're in/around the area.... you should join us. No fees or pressure, just some dinner gatherings, etc. It's always a good, fun, friendly time, so think about coming along. :) Bye for now! :) posted by AM | 11/13/2006 11:55:00 PM Saturday, November 4 Kissing a fool.
