Wednesday, May 17 Cookie wisdom. If you believe the cookies, then things are going to look WAY up for me. Today at lunch, the cookie pointing to me (the one you're supposed to take): Love is on its way (and lucky numbers, of course). The extra cookie that no one else wanted (even just to crack open and see what it says): Love is in the air. :) Let's all thank the cookies and hope that they're right. posted by AM | 5/17/2006 03:20:00 PM Tuesday, May 16 High water! Well folks, if you watch the news, or read any of it, you probably know that much of New England is under water, and my little bity area is the hardest hit - yay me! I actually have been blessed with dry floors, and relatively little inconvenience. I can't complain. There are people who've lost everything they own, or at the very least have a clean-up ahead of them that will take months. The rivers are all still over (by 10s of feet) flood stages, so nothing is over quite yet. It's still raining, actually, but with about 12 inches in 3 days (in my town) we're just about at the end of it. Whew! What a storm, and me with no ark. I've had a pesky cold for about a week (which I'm sure is due to being run down, stressed, etc). Things are ok with my family. Not good, not horrible, but I think they're going to get worse again in about a week or more. My mother has found her own place, things are not looking like they're going to mend or anything - so it's a new way of life for us all. Other than that aspect, I'm fine... things are just normal, which is ok by me! My friends are all doing fairly well, and even Doreen is doing a bit better last time I checked in with Sophie - so keep those good thoughts coming. :) I'm going to bed early to try to keep my cold on the move... night folks. posted by AM | 5/16/2006 12:05:00 AM |
