Friday, December 23 Hi-dee-ho! Wow, I've been busy this week! I got just about all of my shopping done, which is a relief. I am still waiting for a couple of deliveries, but nothing I need by Sunday, so I think I'm in good shape. I've been working, shopping, and working at home on a project (in fact just wrapped it up about 20 mins ago... ahhh, 2am workday! :) ) I have my dress for New Years, and a little bit o' bling coming to dress it all up! Yay, I love dressy nights. I have no date, shocking-I know. :) Here's a BIG shocker... I'm going to put up a picture of the week on Friday!! I know, it's more like a picture of the quarter at this rate, but it's a good faith effort and I hope you'll appreciate it. ;) Okay kids, if I don't get to check in before Sunday... I'm up to my knees in shopping (trying to make it mostly all online this year, I HATE crowded/crazy stores) and the packages are arriving slowly but surely. I'm only worried about two of them, which are for local needy kids and they have to be back to the place I picked them up (the little candy canes with the requests on them) by the 17th. I think I made a mistake picking up one, as it turned out to be a REALLY hard thing to find, but I found something super close, and I'm hoping that will be good enough. I just grabbed that one today though, it breaks my heart to think that all of those things weren't grabbed up by people, there are still so many left that no one took. :( I wish I had enough to take them all, I can't imagine not getting anything under the tree... my heart breaks for those kids. I still have people to buy for, but I think I'll be getting things wrapped up pretty soon. Hope you're all doing as well? I got a little behind last week, my internet was down for over 3 days. I'll tell ya, that has been a nightmare for me since I moved in here, and I'm crossing my fingers that this time it's fixed for good. I'm not foolish enough to hold my breath over it though. ;) It's pretty freakin' cold round these parts now. I guess winter decided it was overdue for an appearance, and he's here! We had a freak snowstorm last week, white out conditions, freezing ice on the sides of the house, totally nuts. Also, I got Net*flix from Heather for my birthday, and I LOVE it so much. I never get to see movies because all my friends live so far away, and it's just not fun to go alone. I used to catch up on pay-cable, but since I cancelled that a while back, I've not seen anything in so long. This is GREAT!! I've seen about 7 movies so far, and I have about 35 in queue. I'm going to wait and get through about half of what I have before I start in on TV series, but I'm looking forward to that. :) I still have to watch season III of The Sh*eild, so I can't start anything new until I do that.
