Wednesday, August 24 Back ... again? Okay, I know I was "back" last time, but now I'm back back. The move is over, the trip is over, and I'm regaining my sanity... one normal day at a time. I'm enjoying just "being" and doing the regular old things with no huge agenda looming overhead. I feel like I want a summer do-over... but hey, there's always next year! :) The convention was very successful, and the feedback was mostly all positive. I'm thrilled for that, for all the work Heather put in, that things were so different and enjoyable for most of the attendees. As for our work there, well... I'm hoping that there are some major changes for next year because I basically feel like we had no vacation at all, certainly no convention to speak of. Since it's usually one of my only, if not THE only vacation I take all year (sure is that way this year)... I'm sort of bummed out about that. We did get to spend 1 day looking around SF, but frankly, that just doesn't cover it. Maybe if I win a little lottery or something I can squeek in another trip before the end of the year in an attempt to make up for it. :) I came home sick, which always sucks... but at least I didn't have to fly with a head cold, didn't strike until I woke up the next morning. I slept it off over last weekend, and was back to "work" on Monday. I'm still temping in at a friend's company, and so far it's working out well. I'm enjoying it too... just a different pace and feeling then doing my own stuff at home. Plus it's sort of nice to just leave it all behind at the end of the day and revisit it the next. At home it's always hard to feel ok doing that, it's always THERE! I do have another event thing coming up, our Labor Day Weekend bash, but I have to say... compared to the convention, I think it will be a piece of cake. We've done it all before, and at least it's only two nights. Woo hoo! :) I'm going to update the picture of the week this week (sorry that's been so neglected, it's never by intention). I'm hoping that I might be ablet to get an update for this site as well, but I'm not making any promises on when that might happen. Thanks to everyone for being patient with me, and also for the nice emails just checking in to see how I am or what I'm up to.
