Tuesday, June 28 My House of Cheese. Welp, I've been a busy girl lately, to say the least. I've been working, trying to avoid the heat, and working on making my new apartment something a bit more interesting. In pursuit of the latter, I've spent some time painting. There is more to do, but so far we've got the living room walls done. Color is called Pumpkin Cus*tard. It's a pretty saturated orange, I dig it so far. It's hard to know much when the room is empty, but it seems to look nice in all lights, so far so good. I have a couple of aqua blues to use in the kitchen, along with a freehand/stencil desing that I'm going to be adding to the walls (as long as it works out properly... more on that another time). All the trim in the house will be a high gloss slightly greyish white. The trim now is flat, and it really needs a fresh look. I believe the bedroom is going to be a mocha color, but I'm still working on that. The bathroom is completey up in the air due to the amount of work that needs to be done in there. I'll figure it out. :) Res*cue Me is finally back on FX! Yay! I'm pretty happy about that. I have the first new episode taped, but haven't seen it yet. I'm also enjoy The Clo*ser on TNT. Hmmm, I guess that's all that's going on for now... :) Anything new with you guys? posted by AnnMarie | 6/28/2005 11:30:00 PM Friday, June 17 Regrouping. Hey there folks. :) I just spent a couple of days in Maine with the girls (Heather, Jessica, Raina, and Violet) doing some outlet shopping. We basically shopped until we dropped, thank God the weather was on our side. It's been unseasonably cold here the past few days (about 50), so it was great for store shopping without sweating to death. I didn't buy too much, no money for that, but it was nice to just hang out and be social with no work to be done (like the dances, etc). We had a great dinner last night in Portsmouth, N.H. ... yum! In new apartment news, I got it, and I'm moving. It will be a slow move, won't be officially there until the end of July. I'll start doing some painting and prep work in the next couple of days I hope, and then start moving over small things little by little. I'll have movers come to do the furniture, I'm not even dealing with that. :) So that's it... a new stage begins. I'll put up some pictures of the new place when I can (maybe even pre and apres painting). posted by AnnMarie | 6/17/2005 04:59:00 PM Monday, June 6 Donna got me thinking. She posted in the last entry and asked if I'm ok. I am. I mean, there is nothing wrong - so I'm ok, right? You know what I mean? I'm not "good", but I'm managing. Nothing happy going on, nothing to be excited about, and some anxiety-ridden issues regarding money and work, possible changing apartments, all that jazz... so I think I'm just "off". I'm sort of going through motions, trying to keep things above water, and there is a lot of stuff happening that has me teetering on the brink of drowning... so I am sort of just going with the flow and trying not to think much about it all while I try to get things straight. Does any of this make sense? *sigh* I know it has to because I'm certainly not unique in these life struggles, I'm just dealing with them now, and someone else is getting a break for a little bit. :) Anyway, sorry I've been sort of quiet lately, but I guess it's just easier to lay low sometimes, and I certainly don't want to be someone who just comes here to complain and woe-is-me all the time... that's no fun! :) I'm hoping to know within a week or so if I'm taking a new apartment. I saw one that I think will work well for me, it's very small and needs some TLC, but if they'll have me, I can make it work.
