I read that somewhere. I wrote it down, and then I read it.

Weddings and a funeral.

Well you know you've been laying really low when you show up in a "missing" post on a Dim board. Yikes.

I've been so nutty with work and events and even got to throw in a family funeral earlier this week, it's been crazy. My great aunt passed away, she was really nice.... always one of my favorite relatives. I hadn't seen her in quite a few years, but I have a lot of nice memories from growing up. It's a shame, and it was rather unexpected because she was otherwise rather healthy. Oh well, so that was a thing to deal with. I went to CT for the funeral and saw much of the rest of my very small family that I hadn't seen in equally as long.

It was really neat to see them because not only has too much time passed, but it was really cool to see my genes in action. I look at my family members, and it's crystal clear where my shape, weight, features, etc come from. I can see that to a limited amount closer to home, but seeing such a gathering really drives the point home, and there was something really nice about that. A sense of family that I don't get very often.

I thought one of the pallbearers was cute, turned out to be my second cousin that I haven't seen since he was about 8. Probably best not to look around much at family events. Ha! :)

On the weddings front, I am just about as proud as I can be to be in MA right now. We've had wedding after wedding this week of same sex couples for the first time legally in the United States and it's just an overwhelming feeling of glee. I just think it's wonderful to surrender to love and commitment, to let yourself get swept away in other's happiness and the fulfillment of their dreams. I don't see how a thinking, reasonable, feeling person can have a problem with that... although I know many do. I just see it as a simple issue of personal liberty, and that no one person is less worthy of that right than any other. We are not allowed to make those distinctions, and that's why this country is wonderful.... despite it's many huge and seemingly insurmountable flaws. Hopefully the marriages, legally speaking, will stand the test of time. I guess we'll have to see about that. I really feel it will be nearly impossible to unring this bell come 2 years down the road when the people of MA find it on their ballot.

I'm almost wrapped up with my office position where I was lending a hand while they were short staffed. I really am thankful too, because between the price of gas and the toll it's taking on my own work projects, it's time to be done with it.

I am home working all weekend to get myself more "on top" of things here, work wise. The house is a wreck... I'll attempt to conquer that next week. Meanwhile the cats run amuck.

Next weekend is the Heavenly Bodies' Labor Day event, in Enfield CT this time around. We were there several years back for our first extended event and we had a fairly good time and turnout. They have a couple of nice pools, hottub, and nice big ballroom, so we're hoping everyone is going to come out and have a nice time.

A project that I was minimally involved (and I mean minimally) with is done, and due to air in the UK sometime... although the date has been postponed. It's called Chubby Chasers (not a fan of the title, but whatever). I haven't seen my copy of it yet, and I'm not sure what the final cuts will end up looking like, but it's sort of an inter-Atlantic traipse to show the BBW/FA scene in UK and the US (they came to our Heavenly Bodies event as a US example). I have faith the producers had the best intentions, but I guess the finished product will have to speak for itself. You will see Anna, Heather and John, Deidra and Stephen, Skye and Skye's guy, myself, and many more, so if you're in the UK you might want to watch for it.

Alrighty, I'm heading back to work, but I felt the need to check in here before too much more time elapsed.

Annoyed.

I get a couple of emails that tell me the audio service on here that I used to use is now free. I called, did a couple of test posts... nuthin'! So I don't know what the hell is up with that. They're not even in the posts area for me to publish like they used to... just nothing there like I never recorded them.

It's really beautiful here today, sunny and not hot-hot. I have to get my things together and head out a little later to our event, should be a fairly decent crowd I think, people like the Woburn location because it's sort of central for everyone. Heavenly Bodies if you want more information.

They finally hired someone for the position I've been doing fill-in work on, so that should be coming to an end within a week or two. It's been nice to be in a office again for a bit, but with gas prices and the 100 mile a day commute, it's definitely getting to be a nuisance, and my work at home is piling up so it's time to get back to normal here.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. :)

Working girl.

I'm at my office (well, the office I've been coming to for a few weeks now, should be done in about a week or so) and I can't do anything at the moment while my computer is processing some things, so I figured I'd check in with a quick hello.

The password system now in place on the site seems to be going well so far. I've only received one email from someone who just couldn't quite get the reasoning of having a password, but still giving it out. It's not about the content being seen, it's merely about it being stolen and costing me a small fortune in the process.

So, that said... hopefully it will continue to go well and will continue to be a help in keeping things under some sort of control. :)

I was with friends this weekend, we had a nice time... casual, and fun. Headed down to an event in CT... was pretty well attended for a new group, and it was nice to go someplace of that nature and not be the one worried about what everyone is doing! Heather and I were going to attempt some mild drinking, but it just didn't happen. I got to my third and I was just sort of tired. At that rate it didn't seem worth it to keep going.

The weather is really changing here (high 80sF here today) and it's welcome.... I'm glad to have a nice sunshiny day and have the windows open to get some fresh air. :)

Well, back to work for me. Later.

Put 'em up!

Seems that if someone is punching you over and over, you should at least put up your arms for protection, right?

Yeah, I thought so, too.

Change in the air.

I'm going to be making adjustments to the site, and part of the reorganization has already taken place. As you are browing around if you have trouble, first refresh pages, and if you still have a problem, broken links, etc... please drop me an email and let me know. I have to make sure everything is pretty much in order before the next step comes.

Thank you!
