Day-to-Day Doings
I read that somewhere. I wrote it down, and then I read it.

Survived Vermont.

I got back from Vermont on Tuesday afternoon, it was a nice trip. We had a house, about 16 of us total over the course of the weekend, and it was just a nice, relaxing time for the most part.

We made some meals, did a puzzle (I know, weird...), watched some shows, took baths (HUGE whirlpool tub in the master suite). The girls all tried to get some new pictures taken so they'll be showing up on sites over the next month, I'm sure.

It was a nice, low-key way to ease Heather into her 30s. I predict she'll survive them, but it's never an easy transition. :)

On the home front, there's not much to report. I have the Heavenly Bodies Halloween party this Saturday night, which seems to be heading towards a very large event. It's always fun to check out all the costumes, we have soooo many people who dress, it's crazy. I have some work looming next week... a project that I've been a bit too laid-back about digging into, so I'm going to jump in head first next week and get some momentum with it.

On another note, it seems a site I enjoy has closed up shop. I can't be sure, as there is no official word, but Cat's site (Catay.com/cat) seems to have vanished. I noticed a little while back, but didn't mention it anywhere in hopes it was just a temporary situation... but the more time that passes, the more it seems to be gone, gone, gone. I am still hoping it's just a temporary issue.

The internet for BBWs has exploded recently, with a ridiculous amount of chicks with paysites, literally dozens turning up every week/month ready to show it all and find their little slice of the pie. I think it's a good sign that there are customers to support them all, but I also think the saturation sort of dulls the fun and experimental nature of some free sites.

Freebies can't compete with the amount of updates, or the sexual nature of the content (depending on the nature of their hosting plan). Although, in fairness, I have no desire to compete with that content. Everyone has their place, so I gladly leave it to those who want to do it. I have always stayed in the areas that make me comfortable, and it's worked out just fine. My site is for exploring who I am, and if that's received well... great. If not, no biggie. I don't have customers to please.

It's just hard to know if there is a point to being here anymore. It seems everything else is readily available, so why bother? For now, I stay open because I feel like there is no middle ground between "no site" and pay sites. It's a vast wasteland in the middle, and for people who are just finding their way along... they still need something.

Anyway, that was just stream of consciousness, so take it lightly. I will miss Cat's site if it's really gone - she's served as an inspiration to me to keep the content uplifting, fun, and quality. :)

Have a nice weekend.

Vermont Invasion.

After a week-long dog-sitting stint for the 'rents, I'm off to sleep in yet another bed for a few nights.

Heather's birthday is this weekend, and the gang of fatties is heading up to Vermont to a ski house we rented. There will be about 16 of us total, and there is a hot tub as well! woo hoo! I think it will be a nice time, very relaxing and fun - just hanging out with friends.

I hope to be able to take a couple of picture sets while I'm up there (I think a lot of the girls are probably planning that... lol). It's always nice when we can get a different backdrop going and change things up a bit. :)

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Quiet Friday Night.

I actually didn't realize it was Friday until a little while ago. I had intended to do a SnapShot update last night, so I'm going to try to get to it this weekend. I'm on doggie duty for over a week, so I'm sort of messed up schedule wise.

I'm in the middle of cooking dinner, and just got delayed in writing this by a call from a friend (good though, we hadn't talked in quite a while. :) .

I'm off to eat dinner, but I wish it was hotdogonastick!

: )

October air and pizza cheese.

Okay, it's officially fall here in the northeast. I went outside tonight and it smells like Halloween. What does that smell like? I wish I could explain it exactly, and if you grew up around New England you probably know what I mean. The air is crisp, it smells like fall, you can smell fires burning for heat but they're far off... it's this really faint aroma. When the wind blows you can hear crisp leaves circling on pavement. It's a really wonderful feeling. It's chilly, but somehow this time of year you appreciate that chill.

I was heading out to pick up my dinner... a pizza at this great little place in town. Unfortunately it was 20 mins late in being done, so I got back home a little later than I expected... but with a piping hot pie!! Woo hoo.

So I dig in, and a piece of cheese hits my chin and *zzzz*, I'm burned. Oh, I figured it was just smarting a bit... but NOOoooooo, I have a full fledged burn, complete with a blister on my chin. Nice, huh??

Beware kids, pizza can be dangerous. Okay, CSI is on, I have to trot off. ;)
