Day-to-Day Doings I read that somewhere. I wrote it down, and then I read it.

VEGAS BABY!!!!!!
Oh yeah, it's upon us. I leave tomorrow, and we just extended the trip so we come back early morning on the 6th - oh my goodness, it's Vegas galore. :) I am packing now (well, not right now...) and should be ready to head out of here later today... I'll be leaving from Heather's house tomorrow... better to get there tonight and be settled.
So, I have the new laptop, and my fondest wish is to be able to update while I'm gone (two Thursdays!!) and hopefully even update with Vegas pictures - so it will be nice and timely. We'll see how well this all goes. :) We all know the saying... "The best laid plans of mice and men... " - so cross your fingers. :)
Okay, I better run... have a great week or so everyone, and I will try to do a few "little" entries while I'm away to let you know how the trip is progressing. :)
Are you familiar with this thing??? Well I am now, and I LOVE it. I'm not a messy person, but being a big girl, spills happen... when something drips off your spoon, or falls off your fork, the only place it can hit is your shirt.... it sucks. I spend a lot of money on my clothes, and when I buy something it's because I really like it... so to have it ruined over a bowl of chilli can be VERY upsetting.
So I had these 3 shirts that I really, really liked... but when I was in Atlanta, I managed to get GREASE on all of them. Not huge spots, but enough... and I won't wear stained clothes. I'm no slob, and I don't want to appear that way. I had washed all the shirts at least twice since I got home (just to TRY to get the stains out, no luck). My friend told me to try the stain stick, so I did last night - and VOILA - stains are GONE!!!!
I was shocked, still am really. My final test will be when/if I spill some red sauce or ketchup on a white shirt (mark my words, Vegas will be the place). If that works, as I told a friend, I'm building an altar to it. I am switching to the church of StainStick, I'll wear one around my neck (that keeps it handy as well). I will pass out sample sizes to people at airports, the whole nine yards.
I can't wait, I'm getting very excited. The wedding plans for Heather and John are just about set (I'm the Maid of Honor, so I've just been sort of talking with Heather about things she wants/needs, etc.) I think it's going to be a really beautiful event... I'm looking forward to it. :)
I just acquired a new (used) laptop through an auction... it's an older PowerBook... so I'm pretty happy to be getting myself a portable Mac. :) Yay me! It was a good little price, and it's going to be easier for me to do updates on the road, etc. I should have done it from the start, but I'm glad to have the PC laptop as well... so now I'm a 4 computer chick, I think that's enough!
I've been California dreaming a lot lately... I think the fact that I'm going to be so close is killing me. I know that I could just get in my car and drive over to San Diego and head to Ocean Beach. Oooo, I wanna gooooooo!!!!!!!
I know you at least know I'm alive because I've updated the site a few times, etc. I'm not sure about my abscence. Maybe it can be attributed to general state of fed-upedness (yes, it's a word.... swear.) I think I've had a little period of having had enough of online, etc. And unfortunately that ends up transferring into this... if I'm feeling that negative about being around here, then it's hard to write in here with any kind of sincerity. I guess when it comes to that I'd rather write nothing.
I've settled a few things, well, sort of I guess... that have been giving me issues for the past few weeks. And my trip to Vegas is looming ever closer. I'm soooooo looking forward to this, it's going to be my escape. Gambling, sleeping, general merriment are all high on the agenda. Along with Heather's wedding, so it's going to be a jam-packed trip. I can't wait to get there and get my hassle-free escape underway.
I'm off for now, and will try to write again later. :)
